I thought if you gave slowpoke tail to a Shellder it evolved into Shellbro or something. Like, the grey shell on Slowbro but just the shell.

Oi mates, I've thought that you could only have 999.999 Poket Monster Dollars on your character at any given time... At least in Generation II. Dunno about Gen. IV. But even in Heart Gold/Soul Silver, how is it possible to accumulate such amount of money before being offered this delicious snack for just 1.000.000P? Mind you, you are offered it before reaching Azalea, which is the fourth town you come across, housing the second Pokemon Gym in Johto in order you visit them. So, it's kinda early in the game by then.
Trading nuggets via Pokemon Center is the only things that comes to my mind. But that would be a pretty time-consuming task.

Slowpoke evolves into slowbro when a shellder bites it's tail. The Shellder becomes the shell on his tail but both kinda have to be alive, especially since it's the slowbro that continues as an evolved pokemon. Not that any of this matters in the actual game.
