Gotta go fast

Love it. You don't really hear much about human sports in the Pokemon world, and with shoes like that, someone is bound to have cheated once or twice with them.

So THIS guy can find the B button when it's for unlawful gain, but our poor trainer can't find the B button when his Virigoth is evolving? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE FOURTH WALL.

Well, what do you know
My comment served as an inspiration? Nice. I mean... the comic. It's nice. Yup. Not me. The comic. Nice.
And this reminds me how in 2nd gen games the police starts investigating the robbery in Elm's lab, gets the culprit's name from you and... that's it. It's never brought up again.

If you are here, you probably know Pokemon. If you know Pokemon, you know about the Running Shoes. No biggie.

@Shoop-da-Whoop: Yeah, uhhh, I wouldn't bother thinking about that. Puts your synapses in knots.
@eworm: That's nice.
@docScott: True, but I was more thinking of the people who link or feature this strip elsewhere. Although I suppose my url adress also throws a hint.

lol, though it might be a requirement for them to wear those at sporting events. Now it would be interesting to see how items meant for pokemon growth and consumption would effect a person, like X-speed giving them a speed boost etc

Love your work and I think you should put the donate button at the top of the page. That way it's more likely to be seen by viewers. You deserve it.

I always figured they were just ordinary shoes, and it's just the ones you had before were really uncomfortable and you couldn't stand to run in them.

Haha
Funny enough I think it's in HG/SS where you can just set your Running Shoes so that you are permanently running |D Great strip though love it :D

lol This leaves me to wonder how else people in the PKMN world cheat since there are so many alternatives to steroids and such. On that note, I second Crusty_Kris. That would be interesting.

This could have gone in the direction of a hurdles race, namely because no trainer EVER can jump up those gimpy ledges.

A friendly bloke named eworm, on the topic of B buttons, suggested that I could make a strip about Running Shoes while I was at it. While I dismissed his original idea (sorry mang), the thought was still left with me and I started to play around with it. And it ended up as an unlawful method for olympic events. Go figure.
Although one of my worries is that this strip isn't as clearly related to Pokémon as my other strips, so hence the use of the International Police and.....some squiggly pokéball lines on the runner's vests. Maybe I should have drawn blimps, but I had pushed this ahead enough already so HERE GOES NOTHING. And if there's anything funny with the language, shout it out and I'll fix it in a jiffy.
In other news, I've installed a Donation button at the bottom of the page, which may be toggled elsewhere once I go icon crafting. I don't really need money seeing as I have a full-time job and some minor cash I get from advertisers, but if I ever get the question (which I have) about what I gain from this site, then I just might be able to reply with how someone on the internet was willing to donate a whole dollar(s) in response to my work. And then they'd be silent in awe. I see no reason why that wouldn't happen.
Gonna be drawing lots of three panel strips to save time for now. Cheerios!
