Picnic Panic

"Which sadly doesn't make for a good combination with outdoor activities."
I think it wouldn't be fun if he summoned a snowstorm in an indoor activity either.

They just need a pokemon with Cloud Nine or Sunny Day to come along and they'd be fine.

Poor Snover
Poor Snover...
I think the next comic should be about what happens when you overdose on rare candies

Picknicker Theresa used Bite!
Picknicker Theresa was buffeted by the snowstorm!

Actually, I think the Pokemon with abilities like that control it and only use in battles. But I get the joke.

What we need is a Dream World Vulpix, Ninetales, Lickitung, or a regular Cloud Nine Psyduck.

This reminds me of Tyranitar and his ability lol
I personally hate these kinds of habilities...sometimes my pokémon are with just a few hp left and before I can throw a potion in it,it dies :\ damn.

@Foxblaze: And then we'll all BURN.
Poor Snover. I feel so bad for him. I think I'll give him a hug *freezes*

2222 fans!
Whoo woo. Been reading these for the past two weeks now and noticed you just got 2222 fans. Nice comic as usual, keep it up!

I had to do a rush semi-playthrough of my girlfriend's Platinum because she wanted to catch Giratina, transfer her bros, and then wipe the game for a Nuzlocke and when I got to the snow place, these little bastards are the ones who gave me trouble. >:C
I was only using a Quagsire and Ice/Grass doesn't make for a good sparring partner.
Needless to say, it made grinding miserable and this damn ability made every single battle with one PAINFULLY LONG = A =
But past transgressions aside, I've always thought Snover was pretty damn cute :/
And this comic tugged the strings of my heart just enough for me to forgive him.

Abomasnow was my bro back in Diamond. Somehow, he got me through some of the hardest battles I've ever been in. That said, I would never take it to a spring/summer picnic.

Reminds me of "Kyogre the Worst Roommate". :D On a second note, Groudon must be quite popular with his Drought ability. You should make a comicstrip about Groudon laying on the beach wearing sunglasses with a bunch of babes. ;)
Btw awesome to see a new comicstrip on my birthday, thank you! ;D

Lol, Aww snover looks so poor there...xD. I think you should do a comic strip about how Protein's,Iron's,Carbos's,Zinc's and Calcium's affect your pokemon I think that'd be funny^^.
@AlexMilo: Nice idea about groudon having the drought ability though that'd be funny^^

Lol, poor Snover. I actually liked Snover and Abomasnow until I realised how many weaknesses they had!

@Akayama: Do you think Snover would rather be deaf? Thats an odd decision, be deaf or have no friends.

Actually I'm not really snover but
@AxelThePokegodTrainer:
Same here. Still fun to use but I won't bring it to the elite four anytime soon. Just too many things that can really damage it.
Also, cherubi's face(s) steal the show. They look fucking hilarious. Good job! A funny strip with attention to detail in all panels as usual.

I gotta say, the silhouettes in the background are really cool! Especially the Darumaka.

Though with how often that's bound to be happening, would people really care?
Would they even notice?

@Shoop-da-Whoop: Lol then someone can bring a Kyogre! XD That would make any picnic more fun >:D

@everyone who would bring out a cloud nine pokemon: it wouldn't work. cloud nine doesn't stop the weather, it just cancels out it's effects. (like rain which then doesn't weaken fire anymore).
so it won't stop the hail, but it won't hurt you anymore.
06 Sep 2011 05:52 am
Why did Snovers trainer run away? You'd think he/she would be used to it!

That poor Snover..! *Runs over and hugs Snover while stabbing you with a pitchfork*

I just wanted to say that I love your comics, especially the ones about the nuances of certain moves/abilities such as this one. If it weren't so similar to the Hypno comic you did, I'd suggest doing a comic about how in the world Groudon sleeps when it's always sunny wherever he is XD

Well, actually...
Tecnically just bring a couple fire pokemon, Cherrim, and Castform and the hail will melt and evaporate, fire to melt, Cherrim to sunny day, Castform to amplify the sun. You know, just bring a Yamask to use Mummy. Or maybe a Klink and a huge funnel to make snow!

@Djoing: It would make a fair number of indoor sports more entertaining though.

Haha
Alternatively, you could just use a Snover with Soundproof (its hidden ability.$

Was starting to doubt if I'd have enough time to get the next strip up and running, but the Friday update persists for yet another week. This is once again me being a complete douche, but the image I had in my head of the last panel was too tempting to decline. Snover and Abomasnow are really rad pokémon though, so all of you fans out there can lower your pitchforks. We're all good friends here.
Joke explanation: All Snovers have the ability Snow Warning, which summons a hailstorm upon entrance. Which sadly doesn't make for a good combination with outdoor activities.
