Lol, Golden nuggets. You could get a load of money for those items because they're that valuable XD
22 Jul 2011 05:07 am
All that... For the bike...? Wow, and I thought the mind of the character's you get to play in the game didn't make sense in the first place. >_<
22 Jul 2011 05:12 am
>Implies the bike was very expensive in one of the games.. dont remember which one.
22 Jul 2011 05:26 am
In the original game, the bike was just 1 buck out of your max money account...just so you HAD to do the little Vermillion sidetrip to get it.
22 Jul 2011 07:11 am
I remember when I first played my red version and I tried to get that 10,000,000 or however much it was...and then I got the voucher. Ah, good times :D.
22 Jul 2011 09:39 am
ITo be honest the red and blue bike theme was always the most forget able for me.
22 Jul 2011 10:24 am
No, the Gold and Silver bike theme was the best. Maybe that's just my nostalgic memories talking.
22 Jul 2011 01:59 pm
I know someone mentioned if you kept throwing that match with the Rocket goon at the end of the bridge he'd keep giving you nuggets every time you had a rematch.
22 Jul 2011 03:59 pm
@robybang, That's true, but you still won't get enough money to buy that bike :B
22 Jul 2011 08:17 pm
I remember when I first played Pokemon yellow, I actually bought the bike. I didn't know about the guy in the pokemon fan club until I played blue.
I felt dumb before but now I'm like the only person who ever bought the bike full price, rather than geting it free.
22 Jul 2011 08:29 pm
Clearly, after buying that bike, he got lost and ended up in the Mushroom Kingdom.
23 Jul 2011 02:30 am
Do do do da do dododo....
Totally heard the R/B/Y bike music in my head when I looked at the third panel. XD
23 Jul 2011 11:29 am
@The blue fox
Except that's impossible because you can't carry that much money in the game. The bike costs 1,000,000 pokédollars and the money cap is 999,999.
25 Jul 2011 01:17 am
@ Karadom
I agree. I LOVED the G/S bike theme.
R/B/Y was okay. I hated R/S/E's bike theme.
25 Jul 2011 09:29 am
R/S/E
Hoho! U travelled all the way here from some far away town so im going to give you a bike worth a million poke dollars! Hoho!
-_-
25 Jul 2011 02:41 pm
Funny...In alot of games there's a man or women that sells something for an extremly high price.Example:
Bomb guy in LOZ Wind Waker sells bombs for 1000 rubies.Your wallet can only hold 300.
27 Jul 2011 12:57 am
You should write about Lavender town. That music was depressing and also one of my favorite places in the original next to Cinnabar island.
27 Jul 2011 10:03 am
idea
Hey bumbazzle, since your doing red/blue comics, how about one with missing no.?
28 Jul 2011 12:58 am
@guest@The Blue Fox
The 1000000 Pokemoney cap was lifted for Pokemon Black and White-they needed to given how much cash you could sell the Abyssal Ruins treasure to the one collector for.
29 Jul 2011 09:06 am
@shadowfox
Missingno is a glitch in the game. It has nothing to do with pokemon in itslef. That's just like saying "Do one about the glitch where if you a do a certain number of events in order you find mew" I don't think any fan of the comic wants to see a missingno comic. I personally would like so see what can happen If you walk in on an S&M Poke-Bill
29 Jul 2011 05:56 pm
@Tortferngatr
The guest seems to be right though, I could have sworn I didn't enter the Pokemon fan club in that playthrough though.
30 Jul 2011 01:53 am
I think you actually can hold enough nuggets to buy the bike in the first game, but not enough money.
03 Aug 2011 01:52 am
RE: frunket
actually both f those could be done in funny ways true they have nothing to do with the actual story but they ave everything to do with the memories i have of playing the original games which is what this comic is about ( at least to me)
04 Aug 2011 12:54 pm
@The blue fox
I never said there wasn't a 999999 Pokemoney cap BEFORE Pokemon B/W.
10 Aug 2011 08:17 pm
Clouds with faces?
Hills with faces?
Sun with a (not angry >:o)face?
What do we look like? Mario?
... wait...
10 Sep 2011 09:22 am
@Frunket: But Missingno DOES have to do with Pokemon. Missingno is the result of GameFreak removing the prevo of Kangaskhan, which is Cubone without the skull. Missingno is actually a Pokemon, technically. If you didn't know.
11 Sep 2011 07:30 pm
What a waste of money! A Slowpoke Tail is the best purchase a Pokemon Trainer can do in his/her entire life!
...At least that's what that weird guy outside the Slowpoke Well told me
21 Oct 2011 09:51 am
@Andromeda Lazuli: The joke is that in red/blue, the bikes at the store are sold for 1 million pokedollars, one more than you can carry, forcing you to do the story event to get it. However, one could theoretically get 1 million pokedollars worth of nuggets.
29 Jan 2012 02:13 am
uhm...
Can anyone tell me why I have 9.9 mil on SS?
*that's the money cap as of Gen IV thats why*
30 Mar 2012 07:32 pm
If the bike voucher is more than he could actually carry, if you couldve sold the voucher, he wouldve maxed his money out. unless he really wanted that bike.

On a related note, the bike theme in the first games is still great. Although the theme in Black and White arrives on my personal second place.
This time, I took the opportunity to be more whimsical than usual. Made for a fun time fiddling around with colors and textures and inanimate objects with smiling faces. Enjoy Red's first appearance in this comic!
To clarify: he bought a bike. Not LSD.
