No comic this week! I could go on about the reasons why that is the case and how I hath forsaken me duties and me glory, but since I technically haven't binded myself to any specific day or updating pace (more of a goal), this graph will hopefully serve as a compromise. Although I was planning to use it sooner or later as I had difficulties trying to get this into panel-form, so it was bound to happen one way or the other.

And I forgot to mention it last time, but thanks to everyone who took a small bit of their time to either comment here or notify me about images not showing. I can't go through my whole archive every day, and sometimes I can see the images while others clearly don't, so make a shout if things aren't the way they should!

Ciao.
Edit: To steer off some confusion, this graph is about the trainers within the game. Not the gamers.

:(

February 11th, 2011, 12:04 pm

A frown? That won't do. That won't do at all! I have failed my mission! I won't stand for this!

Next week shall be different.

February 11th, 2011, 12:08 pm

I don't care if it's a graph, it's funny. :)

February 11th, 2011, 12:08 pm

I suffer from insomnia! :o

February 11th, 2011, 12:09 pm

I'm surprised 'bruised ego/pride' didn't make the list.

Also, if you don't have chlamydia, then you are playing the game wrong.

February 11th, 2011, 12:28 pm

^ This.

February 11th, 2011, 1:24 pm

I approve.

February 11th, 2011, 1:34 pm

And now i have a new wallpaper for my computer

February 11th, 2011, 2:05 pm

I'm surprized mal nutrition is not there, since the player doesn't eat

February 11th, 2011, 2:22 pm

what? is the chlamydia a comment on how none of us will ever get laid?

February 11th, 2011, 2:39 pm

pfft i'm glad to see no sti's floatin roung. that just shows somethin

February 11th, 2011, 3:06 pm

i don't think tunnel vision is an actual health issue

February 11th, 2011, 3:07 pm

Shouldn't something to do with them passing out when all their pokemon fail be on there?

February 11th, 2011, 3:29 pm

If any of you dudes or dudettes want some chlamydia I will trade for gonorrhea.

Gotta catch em all!

February 11th, 2011, 3:38 pm

Let's not forget about the frost bite.

February 11th, 2011, 3:45 pm

This graph isnot about the gamers, but instead about the trainers about you encountered within the game. First post has been edited.

And there were other options I considered, malnutrition (or starvation/anorexia) was certainly one of them, but the graph is already long as it is!

February 11th, 2011, 3:50 pm

Love it!

February 11th, 2011, 3:56 pm

no risk of chlamydia coz trainers dont get laid

February 11th, 2011, 4:02 pm

Delirium? Oh right, the trainers that think you're a pokemon

February 11th, 2011, 5:20 pm

oh in that case why is delerium so low?

February 11th, 2011, 8:26 pm

You've forgotten to add chronic overconfidence.

February 11th, 2011, 8:53 pm

Isomnia? what are you talking about? *chugs bottle of sleeping pills*

February 13th, 2011, 8:47 pm

Funny

This really made my day!

February 14th, 2011, 9:46 am

funny once i realized it was about the npc trainers, maybe you could clarify that at the beginning somehow?

February 14th, 2011, 3:59 pm

Don't really know how that would be done. I've never met pokemon gamers who consider themselves "trainers"(although the RPers or storytellers might get more involved), but as far as I'm concerned, the stuff like "Insomnia" and "Tunnel vision" should be a good indicator whether it's within the game or not.

February 16th, 2011, 9:31 am

This graph raises an interesting question, since Pokemon actually DO get laid in-game! Off-screen, but still.

And the question is thus; do Pokemon get STD's? Like, when you're walking around with your Raticate in SoulSilver, is there a possibility it is infected with the Raticate clap?

Bookmarked under AWESOME.

First lemme say AWESOME site. Played these games long ago (ahhhh the kids of today are spoiled... Pokemon in Black & White... Those were the days...) and loved them then as much as I love them now that I found a site online where you can actually play them since a decade or so has passed since I stopped playing.

But I love the comics you've done and bookmarked the site for future visits.

Can't help but laugh at nearly all of them because I swear it's as if it was looking into my own mind when I was playing the games. Though I'm showing my age by seeing some of these newfangled creatures and wondering if I have alzheimers or have really been out of the loop for so long... O.o

Either way, great site and keep up the good work.

I'll be back...

And yes, I know you just read that in Arnold Schwarzenegger' voice. It's ok.

February 17th, 2011, 3:37 pm

not bad can't wait till it updates.

February 18th, 2011, 5:17 am

Hmm

Where is "hearing things"? I recall many a person complaining about "hearing game music when the game has long been turned off".

February 18th, 2011, 5:56 am

Question

Do you mind if I post a couple of these on FunnyJunk? I'll post link to the archive in each pic. Will wait for response...

February 18th, 2011, 9:04 am

@OldPlayer-NewFan: Thanks for your heartfelt comment! I'd like to see myself as a pokemon veteran myself as I've been through the whole series with Blue and Red in the beginning and Black 'n White around the corner, so seeing others with equal or even larger experience enjoying my work makes it all more worth the effort. Thanks!

@Aki: As I previously stated, this graph is about NPC trainers, and not the actual people playing the game. And while they do give pokemon good music, I haven't heard that the music sticks to their heads as often as you have, apparently. Could be worth investigating!

@Mystery Guest: You are free to post these strips wherever you like without my permission (claiming it as your own is obviously a no-no), but adding links back to my site (although all of them already have the url in the corner) would also be very helpful. I appreciate that you wanted to check with me first though!

February 18th, 2011, 11:10 pm

That's ok. I always check before i post stuff from others

April 2nd, 2011, 6:59 pm

Actually, insomnia and tunnel vision are pretty common among players, too :P

May 26th, 2011, 11:40 pm

:'(

I don't get it...

July 27th, 2011, 6:30 pm

health risks

thank goodness its 0% for STDs

October 17th, 2011, 6:48 pm

ahh.... this takes me back to when my sister embarrassed me infront of her friends saying that my best friends are ash and misty... i cried and ran like a good losser... good days

October 13th, 2012, 1:20 am

Risk is the potential that a chosen action or activity will lead to a loss. The notion implies that a choice having an influence on the outcome exists. Thanks.
